After a quick catchup, we headed out for drinks and dinner at Stella’s in the South End. A favorite neighborhood eatery, with delicious comfort food and generous portions.
I feel so lucky that my closest childhood friends are still some of my best friends today. Though we all went to different High Schools and Colleges, we have remained close and when we get together we pick up where we last left off without a hitch. We have such shared history that we still laugh thinking about our first kisses, bunking together at Windridge Tennis Camp, braces & palate expanders, our matching navy Juicy sweatpants (with Juicy written on the butt), all girls school lip sync’s, and being the last ones picked up from school (we were always the last kids in pickup line and that our moms are all best friends didn’t help matters). The list goes on.
We met at Sophie and Tessa’s apartment and just like old times, we all showed up dressed similarly and were all carrying matching KSM Buggy monogram clutches. We questioned changing up our matching looks, but quickly nixed the idea and decided it would be much more fun to spend the night as quadruplets.
Sophie, Tessa and Allie rocking the green, black & oxblood monogram clutches.
Martinis and Moscow Mules to start, and wine followed. For an appetizer, I ordered the crudo misto. Thinly sliced salmon and tuna, marinated in a lemoncello, citrusy sauce. I would go back just for this, it was that good.
For dinner we split grilled pizzas. My two favorites were the Grilled artichoke with pesto, caramelized onions and horseradish aioli and the Braised Short Ribs with figs, gorgonzola and balsamic.
I have heard great things about Stella’s for brunch and plan to return soon to check it out. Will report back!
The rest of the night, my camera was gently tucked away in my bag. You never know what is going to happen when old friends get back together, right?
The next morning we headed to Beacon Hill for Brunch. We were in search of finding the proverbial “hair of the dog” perfect cocktail and some hearty food. Paramount was packed so we ventured to 75 Chestnut, just off Charles Street (one of my favorite streets in Boston). Who can resist a good bloody bar? Our brunch group quickly expanded as more friends trickled in looking for sustenance and a recap of the previous night. We were far too loud and our conversations would have been better suited to the Paramount crowd… oh well!
Happy to be back with my bff Allie – even if for a weekend!
Proof I also was sporting my Kslademade Monogram Crossbody from Buggy Designs (I knotted the chain on top to make the strap shorter). I bought my fur pompom hat in Paris but found a very similar one at Tuckernuck!

After several hours (we were the only ones left in the restaurant) we packed ourselves up and headed over to the new Tucker Blair Headquarters on Charles Street where Tessa gave us a tour of her new office digs. Tucker Blair is heaven if you love needlepoint belts and monograms at a great price point!
Dreaming up our next adventure!
What did you get up to this weekend?!
